Our final February post for Create With Connie & Mary is a sketch challenge, and I’ve made this one as sweet as honey! First, here’s the sketch:
And here’s my card, using the Bee Mine suite products (DSP, Bee Builder Punch, Bee My Valentine Stamp Set, and the Hearts & Flowers embellishments). This suite was marketed as a Valentine set, and it made some adorable Valentines, but look how cute it is for a friendship card or other occasions too!
Card Details:
- Thick Basic White Cardstock base, 8-1/2″x 5-1/2″, folded at 4-1/4″
- Bee Mine DSP, two pieces, 5-3/8″x 4-1/8″ (honeycomb) cut on an angle, and 3-3/4″x 4-1/8″ (honey jars)
- Black Baker’s Twine from the Essentials Pack, wrapped along the seam and taped to the back, plus some for a bow
- Basic White label cut with Thoughtful Expressions Dies (largest shape), 3-1/2″x 1/2″ for sentiment, and scraps for the bee
I stamped the honeycomb in Petal Pink onto the label. To create the bee, I stamped the body with Daffodil Delight and Memento Tuxedo Black. Its wings are Petal Pink and shimmered with Wink of Stella. The heart is from the Adhesive-backed Hearts & Flowers embellishments.
