Sunset Coast Lighthouse

We’re starting off our August posts with a color challenge at Create with Stamping Friends. I have to admit, I struggled with this color combo! I made one card and ditched it because it just wasn’t impressing me 😁. So I went an entirely different direction and blended the colors onto Basic White to create a sunset behind the Sunset Coast Lighthouse.

Materials, measurements, & methods:

• Basic Beige Cardstock base, 8-1/2″x 5-1/2″
• Basic White for underneath the lighthouse, 5″x 3-3/4″
  • With Blending Brushes, blend Daffodil Delight, Bubble Bath, and Basic Beige in that order, top to bottom.
  • Add the small water image with Bubble Bath to the left of the spot where your lighthouse will sit.
• Basic Beige layer, 5-1/4″x 4″, Sunset Coast Lighthouse Die
  • Crop the lighthouse above the center of the cardstock. Adhere it over the blended cardstock with Dimensionals.
  • Glue the two pieces to the base with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
• Crop the netting from Sunset Shimmer Vellum (pink), the cloud from Basic White, and stamp the sentiment on Basic White with Basic Gray ink. Crop the birds from Basic Gray cardstock. Glue all into place. I cut the sentiment out with scissors and adhered it over the netting with Dimensionals.
• Three Sunset Sparkle Sequins (iridescent)

Inside:

I stamped the sentiment with Basic Gray and added the sun (half Daffodil Delight and half Bubble Bath) setting behind the Bubble Bath water image.

The Shimmer Vellum also adds some sparkle to the card. When you use the Vellum, notice that one side has the shimmer and the other side is matte. Sparkles up, I say!
