Stamping Hack!

Now, this may not be the best “business” approach, but I’m using this stamping hack and I am pretty sure there are several of you out there that would use it too. So I’m going to share it with you. First take a peek at my card. I used Let’s Go Fishing DSP ~

let's go fishing dsp, father's day card idea, stamping hack, stampin up, karen hallam

I think this paper is amazing and am excited to use it for my – two? – fishing friends this Father’s Day. As cute as the stamp bundle is and how fun it would be to make cards with all the lures and hooks and all… is it prudent to buy the bundle for perhaps two friends? I think not. So I typed out a message on my computer, printed it on Very Vanilla Cardstock and cropped it out with a Countryside Corners Die. My friends will appreciate the cards and I doubt they will even think about the fact that the message isn’t stamped.

Other measurements, in case you’d like to make one:
  • Misty Moonlight base, 8-1/2″x 5-1/2″, folded at 4-1/4″
  • Let’s Go Fishing DSP (water), 5-1/4″x 4′
  • Flirty Flamingo strips (2), 5-1/4″x 1/4″
  • Let’s Go Fishing DSP (fish), 5-1/4″x 2-1/4″

I cropped the sentiment using the Countryside Corners die that measures 3-3/8″x 1-7/8″, glued it to a piece of Misty Moonlight and cut it around all sides, leaving a 1/16″ border showing. I used Dimensionals to adhere it to the card.

Final detail ~ a sailor’s knot from Boho Blue Jute Trim, attached with a Glue Dot.

IF you have a lot of fishermen and women in your life, and would use this bundle a bunch, I highly recommend getting it. It’s on pages 78-79 in the Annual Catalog, and I’ll reference it in the Product List below. But if you’re like me… this is  a great hack!
