Spruced Up for CCMC731

Hello, September! We have a sketch challenge at Create With Connie & Mary today. I thought I’d be bringing out the fall items for the first day of September. But I ended up with a holiday card ~ a non-traditional holiday card, at that! I would call this a “mixed-bag” card. Translation: Put all your products in a bag and whatever you pull out goes on the card, lol! The gold tree outline give this post its name ~ Spruced Up for CCMC731.

  • Basic Gray layer, 5-3/8″x 4-1/8″
  • Abigail Rose Designer Series Paper, 5-1/4″x 4″
  • Basic Gray layer, 4-1/4″x 2-3/4″
  • Lights Aglow DSP, 4-1/8″x 2-5/8″
  • Basic Gray strip, 3-3/4″x 1/2″
  • Gold Foil circle, 1-3/4″ diameter
  • Very Vanilla Cardstock banner, Stylish Shapes Dies, 2-1/4″x 7/8″
  • Gold Foil tree outline, Spruced Up Dies
  • Sentiment from Celebrate With Tags, Gold embossing
  • Brushed Metallic Dots in gold

I glued all of the layers down flat except for the gold circle/sentiment banner, which I adhered with Dimensionals.

I hope you like my non-traditional, clearly accidental, holiday card! I’m rather pleased with the way it turned out. the Spruced Up Dies are amazing. More to come with those!

  1. Oh my, I love your color choice for this great sketch. Ummm, wonder how the tree would be as a full tree instead of the tree outline. Might compete with the circle part, Might have to give this a try! I love this!

  2. Karen, it’s certainly no accident at how beautiful this card is! I really like you take on the sketch.

  3. Love the simplicity – again!
