Something New (for Pals Blog Hop)

Welcome to the Stampin’ Pretty Pals’ Blog Hop!

This month’s theme is “Something New.” If you’re looking for inspiration and a reason to play with your craft supplies, this hop is for you! The Pals hope to inspire you with card ideas and paper craft creations using Stampin’ Up! products. Links to the participant’s blogs can be found at the end of each post to help you “hop” along!

This adorable bunny is my newest acquisition in my craft room! So even though spring and Easter are still far away, I couldn’t wait to play with this sweet new bundle!

The DSP is called Easter Joy and it will catch you by surprise when you first open it! It’s a much heavier paper than our normal DSP. One side has a shiny coating on it which gives it much more heft than normal paper. The prints are adorable. Here’s a look at the paper pack:

One piece (lower left) has 9 card fronts printed on it. I cut them out and decided to use the back of one for this card front. Isn’t it cute?

Here’s what I used:
  • Shy Shamrock Cardstock for the base, 8-1/2″x 5-1/2″, folded at 4-1/4″
  • Easter Joy DSP, 5-1/4″x 4″
  • Basket: Easter Basket Dies with Crumb Cake, Shaded Spruce, and Strawberry Slush Cardstock
  • Bunny: Easter Basket Dies with Basic White Cardstock, Crumb Cake ink, Light Crumb Cake Blends, Bubble Bath Blends, and Light Petal Pink Blends
  • Daffodil: Easter Basket Dies with Shaded Spruce and Daffodil Delight Cardstock
  • Sentiment: Easter Basket Stamp Set and Shaded Spruce ink on Basic White Cardstock
  • Baker’s Twine, white, colored with Strawberry Slush Blends
  • 2024-2026 Flat Pearls in Shy Shamrock

I used Dimensionals under the bunny and the cup of the daffodil.
