Soft Spring on Perennial Essence

Here’s another card using Soft Spring Host Stamp Set. I tell ya, I’m loving these pretty, soft images!

And look at it with this Designer Series Paper background! So pretty! This is an easy card layout, but it took a little time to color it the way I wanted. The nice thing is, it’s all done with stamps, so once you have the colors figured out, it goes quickly.

Like I mentioned on Monday, this set is available for only $9.50 when you place a qualifying host order of $150. If you are hosting a party, that is an easy task! Honestly, I forget about these host sets that are located in the back of the catalog, so keep them in mind when you are deciding on your Stampin’ Rewards.

Paper

The DSP is Perennial Essence. I have layered it onto a Blackberry Bliss card base. The images are stamped on Whisper White and that panel measures 3-7/8″ x 2-5/8″. I layered it over a slightly larger piece of Blackberry Bliss.

Ink

I stamped the outline stamp with Old Olive, then filled it in with Old Olive and Blackberry Bliss, stamped off once, and Petal Pink. There might be a little Highland Heather in there too!  My recommendation is to just try colors until you get a combination that pleases your eye. If you don’t want to “mess up,” try it on scraps first, then reproduce it on your real piece.

“Hello Beautiful” comes from Butterfly Gala. And that little dragonfly? I stamped him with (stamped off) Pretty Peacock and Petal Pink, then punched him out with a 3/4″ Circle Punch (now retired) and popped him up with Dimensionals.

Embellish

It looks like I used Pretty Peacock Rhinestones on the bottom, but they were unavailable at the time I made this card, so I used regular Rhinestones and colored them with my Blends – Blackberry Bliss and Night of Navy. A great solution!

I hope your week is going well. Stop back in on Friday to see a special offer! Have a great day!
