So Many Stars for CASEing Coast to Coast

Welcome back for our December CASEing Coast to Coast! Each month my friend, Rosanne Mulhern and I take turns CASEing each other’s card projects. We call it “Coast to Coast” because she lives in Pennsylvania and I’m in California. We share a love for card-making and met each other through Stampin’ Up! at an annual convention in Salt Lake City. We are excited to share this month’s projects with you!

For my December card, I’ve pulled out my So Many Stars Bundle, which includes the stamp set and Stitched Stars Dies. Of course, with the stars theme, I needed a piece of Brightly Gleaming Specialty Designer Series Paper and Copper Foil.

For the Whisper White square in the middle, I used the 2nd largest of the Layering Squares Dies, then framed it with Copper Foil, also made with Layering Squares Dies.

I stamped the sentiment with Night of Navy ink and cut a few extra stars from that big swirly star die to scatter around the square. A layer of Whisper White behind the DSP separates the two dark papers and allows the DSP to “pop.”

On the inside, I settled on this big beautiful sentiment from Merry Christmas To All and added a small strip of DSP to the bottom. [I save every scrap of these beautiful papers and use them wherever I can – like a precious commodity! Do you do the same?]

I layered another scrap with Copper Foil and decorated the front of my envelope as well. One of my friends mentioned that her favorite part of my cards was the “sneak peek” on the envelope that gives her a hint of what’s inside!
