So Lucky (for CCMC756)

This week’s Create With Connie & Mary challenge put me into a bit of a St. Patrick’s Day mood! Here we are in March 2023 and these colors, particularly the Shaded Spruce and Mango Melody seem ☘️! And “So lucky to call you friend” fits perfectly! Here is the challenge board ~

Here’s my card~

framed florets, conversation bubbles bundle, regency park dsp, CCMC756, friendship card idea, stampin up, karen hallam

I didn’t have a shamrock die – wouldn’t that have been nice? – so I made one out of hearts. I found two cute little heart dies in the Conversation Bubbles Dies! I glued them together, then cut a tiny stem. Voilá!

All the Details:
  • Shaded Spruce Cardstock base, 8-1/2″x 5-1/2″, folded at 4-1/4″
  • Regency Park DSP (Mango Melody print), 4-3/4″x 3-1/2″
  • Regency Park DSP (Sweet Sorbet flowered print), 3-1/2″x 3-1/8″
  • Shaded Spruce skinny strips (2), 3-1/2″x 1/16″
  • Basic White Cardstock, 3-1/2″x 1″ and 5-1/4″x 4′ for inside
  • Sentiment from Framed Florets, stamped in Shaded Spruce
  • Shamrock made from Shaded Spruce Cardstock, 3 die cut hearts from Conversation Bubbles Dies
  • White Baker’s Twine, colored with a Shaded Spruce Dark Blends marker
  • Mango Milky Dot

I glued all of the cardstock layers together, then adhered them to the base with Dimensionals, added the Milky Dot, shamrock, and twine to finish.

I also had a little fun on the inside with the Conversation Bubbles Stamp Set ~

  1. Such a pretty card, Karen! I, too wish I had a shamrock die or punch but improvising with the hearts is a good idea. I apply that sentiment to us!
