So Long to See A Silhouette

It’s almost time to say so long to See A Silhouette. I love this paper, but when I first got it I went “ooooo!” then “but what will I do with it?!” Did you have that same reaction?  After a while I realized that using it in small chunks on a card made for a dazzlingly bold statement and I liked it! Here is my new card using See A Silhouette in a bold way.

These bright colors float my boat! I especially love the contrast between the bright Real Red and the stark Whisper White. Want to say “hello” to one more pack before we have to say “goodbye?” Click HERE.

To Make This Card:
  • Real Red Cardstock, 11″x 4-1/4″, scored and folded at 5-1/2″. Turn on its side for a side fold card.
  • See a Silhouette DSP, 2 strips at 5″x 1″. Glue to the top and bottom, leaving a 1/8″ border all around.
  • Whisper White Cardstock, 5″x 2-1/4″. Glue across the center.
  • Real Red Cardstock, 5″x 2″. Glue across the center, leaving a white border top and bottom.
  • Hand cut a flower from the DSP and glue to the left side of the red strip.
  • Cut the letters h, e, l, l, o -using Hand-Lettered Prose Dies- with Whisper White cardstock and with a 4″x 2″ piece of craft foam. Glue the cardstock letters to the foam letters while the foam letters are still in the whole foam piece. Use liquid glue and let dry for a few minutes. Pop the letters out after they are dry and glue them in place along the red strip. Set something heavy on top of the card – carefully – to let it dry completely. Add desired stamp or embellishment on the inside.
  • Add Wink of Stella to the center of the flower. Done!

Here you can see the great dimension of the letters when glued to craft foam. It really adds to the drama! These letter dies are also on the Last Chance Product List.

  1. Love what you did with this paper!

  2. Chris from Pella

Ahhh, I like this. I liked it but didn’t buy it as I had no idea what to do with it. Well, I am so glad I scooped up a pack last week. I can take your fun parade of great cards and CASE away and look at others too. A switch of sentiments can be the sky’s limits.

    • Exactly! A new sentiment or a new shape to go under it can change it up and look brand new! Have fun, Chris!
