I saw this beautiful deer photo from a nearby golf course and wondered if I could replicate it with Stampin’ Up!’s Snow Front on a card. This inspired me to make Snow Front Deer in Fog.
Isn’t he beautiful?!
Here’s my card ~
I did the stamping, then cut it down to 2-3/4″x 2-3/4″ before mounting it to a Smoky Slate card base that is 6″x 3″, scored and folded at 3″. This will look beautiful on top of a Christmas gift.
For the sentiment, I went into Itty Bitty Christmas and heat embossed it with silver embossing powder. I painted the trees with Wink of Stella for a subtle sparkle when it hits the light.
On the inside, more Smoky Slate for the trees, stamped off once, and Basic Gray for the sentiment, also from Itty Bitty Christmas.
I know nothing can top the beauty of nature in a photograph, but it was fun to see what I could do with the inspiration of the photo.
Have a great weekend! I’ll be spending it with my daughter and grandson up in Washington State. I hear it’s pretty cold up there, so I’m pulling out the woolies! See you next week!

Beautiful! It looks so peaceful.
Charming card, Karen, and such a great interpretation of the inspiration photo. Love that it’s square!
Wonderful card. Great choice for the grassy area. Deer are running all over around here. I took an order to one of my customers the other evening. She told me to watch out for deer as she pointed to one walking across her front yard and next to my car. Houses with dogs all around.
