More Details & Tips
Everything was die cut except the door, which I die-cut from the trailer die and hand-cut around the embossed outline. To add the Basic Gray wheel and hitching post, I cut another trailer from Basic Gray and snipped off the parts I needed. One more detail that is obvious in person but not so much in the photo – I added Fine Tip Glue Pen glue to the light globes to give them a glassy shine. Then I went back and added Red Pearlized Enamel Effects (available July 1) to the wreath and bow, plus a Rustic Metallic Dot to the wheel. Like I said, “Details, details!”
Yes, this was a bit of a fussy card. Yes, I did get glue all over my fingers (a reverse tweezers helps with that!) No, I would not mass-produce this card. Yes, I would give it to a special person, like my brother who has the sweetest trailer! Worth it? Every minute of it!!!

This is just plain adorable! Something we would see here in Iowa! Love it!!!
Thanks, Chris! I had fun making it! I wanted to put that happy little dog in the scene but there wasn’t enough room! Good plan for a slimline card, yes?
If there was a handmade card category at the fair, this would be the blue ribbon winner! Makes me smile just looking at it!
🙂 Thanks, Karen!
