Sketch Week #2

Welcome to Sketch Week #2! My first Sketch Week began August 31st and can be viewed starting HERE.

I spent the weekend putting Stamping Habit Kits together, packaging them up for today’s mail, and emailing all of the people who purchased them from me. Thank you so much! I appreciate each of you and hope you will enjoy the Kits!

Building the Kits set me back a bit on the card creating. When I need some quick inspiration, I turn to card sketches to get my ideas flowing. I took this layout from My Favorite Things. I like it so much that I’ve decided to go several different directions with it and make this week “Sketch Week #2!” I’ll start with a masculine Monday card.

I started with a base of Early Espresso Cardstock, added the woodgrain from In Good Taste, then added strips of Gilded Autumn DSP to make my card front.

Love of Leaves Stamp Set and Stitched Leaves Dies come bundled for 10% off! Just get them together – you’ll be glad you did. I bought the dies first, then later decided I wanted the stamps. Oops! No discount doing it that way! 🙁

My sentiment is from a sweet little set by Honey Bee Stamps. I inked them up with Early Espresso and stamped them onto Very Vanilla. This design is great because you can use any number of sentiment stamps here. I’m thinking about the Rooted in Nature, “Be Strong, Be Happy, Be You.” Maybe on my next card?!?
