Sip Sip Hooray to the New Year!

It’s almost time to ring in the new year, and what better stamp set to say, “Happy New Year!” than Sip Sip Hooray!

Layers of Basic Black and Crumb Cake on a Thick Whisper White base set the background for two champagne flutes, clinking in celebration.

When my son was very young, he would say, “Let’s bump glasses!” whenever we were celebrating with a toast! So the tradition stands today ~ Let’s bump glasses for 2020!

I stamped the champagne flutes with Versamark Ink on Whisper White, and heat set them with Silver Emboss Powder. Then I cropped them out with the matching dies in the bundle.

The So Saffron “champagne” stamps right into the glasses, but because I wanted to tilt the glasses, I had to mask off the stamp at the top to make it tilt with the glasses. You know, liquid doesn’t stay straight when you tilt a glass! Details! 🙂

The Gold Foil “Happy” comes from the Merry Christmas Dies. I also cropped the word out of fun foam and layered the two for some dimension.

Those of you that have been around Stampin’ Up! awhile will remember the Little Numbers Framelits Dies. That is one set that will always remain on my shelf. I don’t use them often, but when I need little numbers, I’m very glad to have them!

Three more details to note: I embossed the Crumb Cake layer with the Subtle Embossing Folder for added texture. Wink of Stella adds sparkle to the champagne. And I included lot of Clear Epoxy Droplets for bubbles.

Sip Sip Hooray and Happy New Year to each of you! Let’s bump glasses!!!
