I wanted to share with you today some simple valentine cards that are quick and easy to make, yet make a bold statement simply by the Designer Series Paper. I think I achieved that! These three cards are all made with the Sending Love DSP Stack, a 6″ x 6″ pack of Real Red and White Valentine designs. You get 48 sheets of cute double-sided prints for only $10.
I also decided to make these cards square, 4 1/4″ X 4 1/4″ so they will still fit in the regular medium envelope. I used Thick Whisper White for the base of this first card, 2 of the DSP prints, and some 5/8″ Organza Ribbon. Here is the inside ~
On this second card I used Real Red for the base, made two 1 1/2″ banners from the DSP, and added 2 circles that I cropped using Layering Circles Framelits. The cute stamps on all cards are part of the Sealed With Love Photopolymer Stamp Set, and I stamped “hugs and kisses” with Versamark Ink for a tone-on-tone effect.
On this last card, I made a patchwork look, using 1″ squares with a variety of the DSP patterns glued on Whisper White, then glued to a Real Red base. More Layering Circles Framelits (those stitched shapes framelit will be offered again at some time – I will let you know when that happens!) I punched the center heart right out of the DSP Sheet. That arrow? Part of the Sealed With Love Bundle!
