Sending Inked Botanicals

I’m sending Inked Botanicals on a card to say hello (obviously!) This is a great pairing ~ Inked Botanicals and the Sending Smiles bundle. I’m eagerly awaiting my Inked & Tiled Stamp Set to arrive, but these really look like they were made to go together.

I’m also attempting to share with you many samples of ways to use our DSP, as this is the last week of the 15% off DSP sale. Inked Botanicals is a pack of 48 double-sided, 6″x 6″ sheets of patterned paper. Today I’ve used the coral/curry prints but next I’ll try one in the Lost Lagoon/Pool Party colors. All are so pretty! Here is my card~

My Card Details (with a few tips & tricks!)
  • Start with a base of Calypso Coral Cardstock, 8-1/2″x 5-1/2″.
  • Cut five 3/4″ panels from various prints of Inked Botanicals DSP and glue them to the base.
  • Crop a large circle from Vellum using Stylish Shapes Dies.
  • Stamp the flowers and stems from Sending Smiles Stamp Set in Calypso Coral, Crushed Curry, Lost Lagoon, and Pool Party inks onto Very Vanilla Cardstock. Crop with coordinating Sending Dies.
  • Glue the flowers to the stems, then glue the whole piece to the Vellum Circle using Liquid Glue.
  • Add Dimensionals to the back of the Vellum Cardstock, just under the flowers/stems cuts. Remove the backings and position the circle onto the card front at your desired angle.
  • Stamp a greeting from Sending Smiles Stamp Set in Basic Gray ink onto Very Vanilla and either cut to 2-3/8″x 1/4″ or use the sentiment die in the Sending Dies set. Glue that to the center of the circle over the flowers. I secured the left side (under A Card) with a Mini Dimensional for stability.
  • Add three gold sequins to the front.

Both cards highlight this paper beautifully. Also, pairing the first card with the Sending Smiles bundle is just perfect.
