Yesterday I showed you this card (see the post HERE) and I promised to share my secrets to a perfectly peachy peach. It’s all about the colors!
Don’t they look perfectly ripe and ready to eat?
The secret is simple ~ a Stamparatus and some Sponge Daubers!
Start with a quarter sheet of Basic White Cardstock. Line it up in your Stamparatus. Since this is a photopolymer stamp, you will need the foam pad that fits underneath. And I use a magnetic pad from Stamp ‘n Storage as well, for a little lift and crisper stamping.
- Stamp twice with Petal Pink over all the peaches.
- With one of the Sponge Daubers, dab some Calypso Coral along the edges where you want the color a little deeper.
- With another Dauber, give it just a quick “kiss” with Poppy Parade in strategic spots.
Now take a look. Are they just like you want them? If you want them a little “riper,” sponge just a wee bit more of the coral or poppy. It’s always best to under-stamp the color first and add more if you want it. You can’t un-do too much color!
You can give a similar depth to the leaves by first stamping in Pear Pizzazz (twice is nice) and dabbing a bit of Old Olive on the edges.
Practice it a few times and soon you will be stamping some perfectly peachy peaches! Enjoy the process!
P.S.
