Seaside Wishes (for CWSF 814)

Happy Thursday! We are back with a Color Challenge at Create with Stamping Friends this week. This was a fun one, because we got to pick the colors we wanted to use! The only “must do” was to make it sparkle 🤩 Here’s our challenge board ~

And here’s my card ~

First of all, I love the color combination of Pretty Peacock, Lost Lagoon, and Pool Party. It just invokes the feeling of being at the ocean ❤️. It’s very hard to see the true colors of my card. The Peacock looks black, but it is a beautiful deep teal color. I paired with the mid-tone Lost Lagoon and the lighter Pool Party – do you catch the water theme?

So what better die set to use than this new set called Seaside Wishes? This is a sneak peek as it won’t be available until May 1st when the new catalog goes live. It’s a fun bundle with stamps, dies, + an embossing folder!

To create more sparkle and shine, I heat embossed the large star fish with clear embossing powder onto Very Vanilla Cardstock, and the two smaller ones with clear embossing powder onto Pretty Peacock Cardstock.

Then, of course, I needed some sparkly gems, so I pulled out the new 2024-46 In Color Shimmer Gems from my Pre-order box. The Summer Splash color goes nicely with these aqua-toned papers.

My sentiment comes from Seaside Wishes as well. I stamped it with Pretty Peacock ink, then cropped it with one of the All That Dies (retiring soon and marked down from $28.00 to $16.80).

Look at the texture on those sand dollars! When you put your paper into the embossing folder with the die, it cuts and embosses all in one step. I think that is very cool!

• Sand Dollars created with Petal Pink and Pool Party Cardstock scraps
• Starfish created with Very Vanilla and Pretty Peacock Cardstock scraps
• Sentiment label cut using All That Dies (retiring soon) with Basic White Cardstock, with an altered size
• Sentiment in Pretty Peacock ink from Seaside Wishes (available May 1)
• Summer Splash gems from 2024-26 In Color Embellishments (available May 1)
