Seaside Shore

I got a new stamp set in the mail yesterday and I couldn’t wait to play with it!  But instead of just venturing out on my own I thought I’d browse Pinterest first.  I found a card that I immediately knew I wanted to try.  So this card is a partial CASE, as I had to change things a bit.  But it looks very similar to Lisa’s card.

I originally tried to layer all of these pieces of cardstock on top of each other.  It was crazy thick — too much for my liking.  So I went about cutting and piecing, and this is what I ended up with for measurements:

Dapper Denim base at 5 1/2 x 4 1/4
Very Vanilla side strips at 1 x 5 1/4
Very Vanilla center strip at 1 3/4 x 5 1/4
Mint Macaron at 1 3/4 x 4
Mint Macaron DSP at 1 1/2 x 4

I embossed the center panel with the Seaside Embossing Folder, then sponged the raised lines with Mint Macaron.

I stamped the angelfish with Dapper Denim.  I colored the extra stripes with a Crushed Curry marker, then went over each yellow stripe with Wink of Stella.  I “winked” the starfish too.  It’s too bad this sparkle doesn’t photograph well, it makes a lovely shine.
I tore three strands of the Burlap Ribbon to create the tie.
I used Teeny Tiny Wishes for the greeting.  This card would fit many occasions and I will decide what goes inside when I need to use it!  Love versatility!
Thank you to Lisa for the inspiration.  I’m going to really enjoy this stamp set! 🙂
Have fun stamping today!
