Relax & Enjoy Your Day!

I was inspired to make this card by the Festive Friday Challenge #101, but I’m just about an hour too late to submit it! I thought I’d show you anyway. Maybe you’d like to try one from this challenge as well!

International Wetland Day! Who knew…! I read through the list of categories to include in the card and I knew I had to pull out my New Horizons DSP. So here is a simple, quick card that anyone one can make with just a few supplies.

I started with this piece of New Horizons 6″x 6″ DSP and cut it down to 5-3/8″x 4-1/8″, just a smidge smaller than the Evening Evergreen Cardstock base, which is 5-1/2″x 4-1/4″.

After gluing the DSP to the card base, I stamped the birds with Basic Gray ink, stamped off once. Then I triple stamped the grasses on the lower left and right sides with Soft Succulent ink. I die cut a clump of grass from Soft Succulent Cardstock and added it to the lower left side.

I stamped Relax & Enjoy Your Day in Evening Evergreen, then added three little adhesive-backed pebbles on either side.

So simple! And quick! If you only bought the stamps and not the dies (I would wonder why?) you can just stamp the grasses and leave off the die-cut piece. I just happen to have them, so I added it on.

Doesn’t this look like a great place to relax? I can imagine taking a small rowboat, canoe, or kayak out and paddling my way around the wetlands. Watch out for crocodiles! or is it alligators? I live in California, what do I know!!! 🙂

Well, whatever you are doing today, I hope you can relax and enjoy your day!
