We never want the need to send a sympathy card, but in reality, we are all going to need one from time to time. My thought is — if you have to make one, make it especially pretty. This seasonal Designer Series Paper does that. It’s a Regal Winter sympathy card. I’ve added a sentiment from Comforting Thoughts:
Here’s the Recipe:
- Blackberry Bliss Cardstock base, 11″x 4-1/4″, folded at 5-1/2″
- Regal Distressed Patterns Specialty Paper, cropped with Countryside Corners Dies (largest)
- Regal Winter DSP, cropped with the third largest Countryside Corners Dies, then layered with Petunia Pop Cardstock, 1/16″ larger all around
- Glue the Regal Winter piece to a slightly larger piece of Petunia Pop, then trim around it with your scissors or Paper Trimmer, leaving 1/16″ showing on all sides.
- Basic White Cardstock, 2-1/2″x 3/8″ for sentiment
- Stamp the sentiment from Comforting Thoughts in Blackberry Bliss.
- Attach to the front with Mini Dimensionals.
- Three Gold Heart Embellishments
You might have missed the gold heart embellishments in the first photo, as they get a little lost in the patterned paper. But in your hand, they shine out so you can’t miss them! To me, they feel like sending a hug on a card! These will be available for purchase tomorrow, November 5, as part of the Marbled Elegance Suite Collection. You can buy them individually or with the Suite (I love the whole ❤️ collection!)
I love the simplicity of this card, even though it’s very elegant with the gold and rich colors of the paper. I hope you will want to make one – for any occasion! A change of sentiments and it can be anything you want. If you need to order any of the supplies, click on the thumbnail photos in the Product List below. It will take you right to my online store. The heart embellishments won’t be available until tomorrow. Don’t forget my Host Code! And thank you for your business!
