Red, Green, and Gold!

It’s another Thursday and time for Create With Connie & Mary! Today we have a classic Christmas combination: red, green, and gold. Here’s our challenge banner ~

For my red, I picked Poppy Parade and my green is Granny Apple Green with a touch of Shaded Spruce. I have to admit, I’ve never jumped on the slimline-card bandwagon, but this sheet of Santa Express lends itself to one, so I gave it a try! Here’s my card ~

Details:
  • Poppy Parade Cardstock base, 8-1/2″x 7″, scored and folded at 3-1/2″
  • Santa Express DSP (Poppy background sheet), 8-1/2″x 3-1/2″
  • Gold Foil Sheet, 8-1/4″x 3-1/4″ with a 7-3/4″x 2-3/4″ rectangle cut out of the middle
  • Santa Express DSP (snowy scene sheet), 8″x 3″
  • Santa Express DSP (reindeer in wagon) fussy cut and adhered with Dimensionals
  • Outside sentiment stamped with Shaded Spruce and cropped with Stylish Shapes Dies
  • Santa Express DSP (skating Clauses) fussy cut and glued to inside
  • Inside sentiment embossed in gold from Framed & Festive Stamp Set and cropped with Stylish Shapes Dies
  • Iridescent Gems and small candy canes cut with Spruced Up Outline Dies and Sweetest Christmas DSP
  • Inside: Basic White, 8-1/4″x 3-1/4″, 1/8″ strip of Gold Foil, and skating Santa & Mrs. Claus from the DSP fussy-cut and glued down

I think it’s safe to say, this card will put a smile on someone’s face! 🙂
