Quick & Easy Card Using Sale-A-Bration stamps

Here’s a very simple yet classic layout for you today. If you are new to card making, or if you want to make some quick cards, this one is for you! The visual depth of this new Heartfelt Blooms stamp turns a simple layout into a stunning card.
The stamp set is called Heartfelt Blooms and it can be yours FREE with a $50 of any Stampin’ Up! merchandise, from either of the current catalogs or from the online store or Clearance Rack. Read more about this Sale-A-Bration promotion here. Now take a closer look at this gorgeous stamp in this video made by Stampin’ Up!:
The interesting thing about this stamp is that when you look at the red rubber, you would never expect to get the depth and definition from the stamp. As soon as you ink it up you can see that it is going to be something extraordinary!
The sentiments are very nice to, and in a really pretty font (I love pretty fonts!!!)

It fits nicely with the current sketch over at Freshly Made Sketches, so you may have seen me there first! Here is the sketch:

To make this card, I started with a 4-1/4″ x 11″ piece of Wisteria Wonder cardstock, scored and folded it at 5-1/2″ for a top fold card. I glued a 1-1/2″ x 5-1/4″ strip of navy Designer Series Paper from Naturally Eclectic DSP on the left side. I stamped the flower image in Wisteria Wonder ink on a 3-1/4″ x 3-1/2″ piece of Thick Whisper White. Then I added the sentiment in Night of Navy. I glued the white piece to a 3-1/2″ x 3-3/4″ piece of Night of Navy cardstock and glued the whole thing directly to the card front. I added three tiny pearls to the bottom to balance the design.

On the inside, I simply stamped another sentiment from the set in Night of Navy. I also stamped the flap of the envelope with the same flower stamp.
This would make a beautiful get well or sympathy card, or just a pretty “thinking of you” card.

  1. I love this stamp and I have it. But I can't get it to stamp as nice as everyone else is and secrets?

    • Marjorie, Are you inking it upside down so you can see how much ink you have on the stamp and good coverage? Working on a perfectly flat surface? Giving it good even pressure when stamping? If yes, you should be getting a good image. If it still isn't satisfactory, you might try calling DS if you're a Demo or go through your Demo. It's always possible that you received a less than perfect stamp. It doesn't happen often, but it does every once in awhile! Best of luck!

  2. I love the detail on this pretty stamp! Thanks for joining us at Freshly Made Sketches!

  3. This is such a beautiful flower! Great colors! Glad you joined us at FMS!
