Products from the Last Chance List (for CC2C)

Welcome back to Creating Coast to Coast with Rosanne from Pennsylvania and me from California! This month we are showing off some products from the Last Chance List that were some of our favorites. I’ve watched the large list begin to dwindle. We’re gearing up for a new catalog and many new products. But for today, we will admire our favorites before they are completely gone. We’ll be traveling West to East today…

So we start with me, and I’ve picked products from the Traditions of Christmas Suite. I have loved the images and the colors of this Suite! The Designer Series Paper is available again, but going quickly! I used the stamp set to emboss the pretty swag and made an angled tri-fold card:

Materials & Measurements (before angle-cutting):
  • Real Red 12″x 12″ Cardstock base, 12″x 5-1/2″, scored at 4″ and 8″
  • Traditions of Christmas DSP (Last Chance, marked down to $11.45), 1 floral @ 4″x 5-1/4″, 2 striped @ 4″x 5-1/4″, 1 Silent Snowfall DSP @ 4″x 3-3/4″
  • For inside sentiment ~ Real Red 2-1/4″x 3-1/4″ and Basic White 2″x 3″
  • For swag~ Basic White 4-1/2″x 2-1/2″

Angle Cuts:
  • For the base, measure down 3″ from the top left corner and make a small mark. In your Paper Trimmer, cut from that mark to the 2nd (or 8″) scoreline.
  • For the green stripe pieces, measure down 1-1/2″ on the left corner of one piece and mark. Put the two pieces together back-to-back, and cut from the mark to the top right corner. These get glued in the middle of both sides of the base, front and back.
  • For the front Silent Snowfall (or white) piece, measure down 1-1/2″ on the left from the top, mark as before, and angle-cut from the mark to the top right corner.

*You can also just set the uncut pieces in place and eyeball where you should mark it, then cut!

Heat Emboss:
  • Using Versamark, gold embossing powder, and a Heat Tool, emboss the greeting from Ornamental Christmas on the lower right side of the Silent Snowfall DSP.
  • Do the same embossing procedure on the 4-1/2″x 2-1/2″ piece of Basic White using the swag stamp from Christmas Greenery Stamp Set (Last Chance, marked down to $18.00).
Focal Point:
  • Using Petal Pink, Real Red, and Old Olive Blends markers, color the swag. Adhere it to the front with Dimensionals.
  • Add gold Traditional Sparkling Sequins (Last Chance, marked down to $7.20).
  • For the bow, cut a 10″ piece of Real Red Shiny Ribbon (Last Chance, marked down to $9.00) in half lengthwise to make a 1/4″ wide ribbon. Adhere with a Mini Glue Dot.

Stamp a greeting on the inside. I used a retired sentiment with Real Red ink.

The center section on the inside is a great place to put a pocket for a cash gift or gift card!
