As I continue my adventure with watercolor, I decided to try “painting” this image and created a Prized Peony CAS (clean and simple) card.
In fact, it is so clean and simple that I hesitated to even post it. But then I saw the Festive Friday Challenge and it fits pretty well into several of the categories! Here is the #FF0062 banner.
I’ve got CAS design, one layer card, single image, birthday theme, and floral theme! All in one little card! 🙂
Here are the (few) card details:
- Watercolor paper, 4″x 4″
- Basic Black Cardstock, 4-1/4″x 8-1/2″, scored and folded at 4-1/4″ for a top-folding card
- Staz-on Black Ink
- Old Olive and Petal Pink Ink Pads
- Water Painters and water
- Birthday sentiment (retired Label Me Bold)
- Very Vanilla Medium Envelope with Peony Gardens DSP on back flap
This square card fits into a regular Medium Envelope. My recommendation is to put a piece of 5-1/4″x 4″ scrap cardstock in the envelope with it to help it through the mailing process without damage (you never know!)
Another tip on the sentiment: I ran my Black Blends Marker along the side edges of the sentiment rectangle to give the look of black cardstock and popped it up with black Mini Dimensionals. All neat & tidy with no white parts standing out!
Let’s hop over to the Festive Friday Challenge page to see what other crafters have submitted!
