Potted Plant

Here’s a super sweet little card, ready to send out to anyone for any reason. This potted plant comes in the stamp set called Basket of Blooms. I made a card using the basket in this set – see it here. This time I wanted to try the pot and experiment with the greenery growing in it!

I stamped the pot twice – once on the Whisper White Cardstock, then again on a Post It Note to create a mask. With the mask in place, I stamped the leaves. When I removed the mask it looked like the leaves were coming out of the pot! I love that technique 🙂  Here’s a look at the stamp set.

A quick coloring with Blends, Cinnamon Cider on the pot and Granny Apple Green on the leaves, brought it to life. The three Poppy Parade flowers are adhered with Mini Dimensionals. I strategically placed them to cover less than stellar coloring. But shhh, don’t tell anyone!

I took a sentiment from Field of Flowers. It’s tiny enough to fit right into that spot under the pot, and I like the versatility of “Thinking of You.”
