Poppy Moments with Perfectly Penciled

I don’t know if the flowers in this Perfectly Penciled Designer Series Paper are poppies, but they look a bit like them, so I’m going with it and pairing it with Poppy Moments Dies!

This beautiful red poppy is actually two colors, but they are very similar so you might have missed that. I cut the top detailed die with Poppy Parade and the solid under layer with our new In Color, Sweet Sorbet. They are very close, but Poppy Parade is just a bit richer hue while Sweet Sorbet (which looks very bright on its own) is the softer of the two colors.

Card Details:
  • Poppy Parade Cardstock base, 8-1/2″x 5-1/2″ scored and folded at 4-1/4″
  • Basic White layer, 5-1/4″x 4″
  • Perfectly Penciled DSP, 2″x 5-1/4″
  • 1/8″x 5-1/4″ strip of Poppy Parade
  • 1/2″x 4″ strip of Basic Black
  • Sweet Sorbet, Poppy Parade, Daffodil Delight, Basic Black, and Garden Green for the poppy and leaves
  • Stamp from Nature’s Prints in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink
  • 1 Matte Dot

I placed the leaves where I wanted them and held them down with Dimensionals, then secured the poppy over the Dimensionals. The yellow center of the flower is also adhered with a Mini Dimensional. The decorated white panel is also adhered to the card base with Dimensionals.

I love the combination of red, black, and white! This Perfectly Penciled DSP is going to be fun to play with! I am not sure either but it works beautifully. Now, you know I gotta try using the two reds for the flower. Stunning card!
