Pop of Pink Sneak Peek

I’ve just returned from a fabulous tour of the Holy Land.  It was the trip of a lifetime!  I’m working off jet lag, as Israel is 10 hours ahead of us, but I’m eager to get back into my craft room – so here we go!

This is a sneak peek of some beautiful new paper, available June 1, 2016, called Pop of Pink.  All black and white patterns with bits of Melon Mambo.  Gorgeous!  Two of the sheets are white with gold foil print, so it is called a Specialty Designer Series Paper.

I have cut a strip at 6″ x 2 1/4″ to create the drapery fold (or curtain fold) on the bottom.  Score the strip at 3 1/4″, 3 3/4″, 4 3/4″, and 5 1/8″.  Cut at an angle from the 3 1/4″ score line up to the edge before folding.  The angle of the cut will determine how much pink peeks through.  On the next card I cut at a steeper angle and more pink shows.

On this card, I scored and folded the opposite side.  As you can see, I cut it at a steeper angle, which shows more pink.  The sentiment on this card comes from the new (available June 1) photopolymer stamp set called Love & Affection.

Here is a close up to show the difference.  After you fold the paper, you will have a little bit hanging over the edge.  Just glue the folded strip to the Whisper White layer, then trim off the extra that is hanging over.   On the left one I used the new Melon Mambo thick Baker’s Twine (available June 1st).  On the right is Melon Mambo 1/4″ cotton ribbon.

On the inside I glued a little strip of the DSP along the bottom.  A full list of the products I used will be listed below.  I would say, put this paper on your wish list.  It is so pretty!  Please contact me at karenshallam@gmail.com if you have any questions about this project.  I would be more than happy to help.  And if you are not currently working with another demonstrator, I would love to have you name me on your next order!  I look forward to hearing from you 🙂

May 31st is the deadline for purchasing the Retiring Items.  See them HERE.  Place your order through me by May 31st and get a free 2016 -2017 catalog from me.

Have a great day and Happy Stamping!
