Polka Dots and Yellow

Polka dots and yellow?! Yes, please! I couldn’t let this challenge go by without diving in! Here is the challenge board for Tic Tac Toe #212:

And here’s my yellow, polka-dotty card:

I chose three different directions on this board ~ 1. Across the top – Ink Blending/Polka Dots/Yellow; 2. Down the left side – Ink Blending/Leaves/Friend Sentiment;  and 3. Across the middle – Leaves/Free/Die Cuts.

Materials & Measurements:

• Thick Basic White Cardstock base, 11″x 4-1/4″, folded at 5-1/2″
• Garden Green Cardstock, 5-1/8″x 3-7/8″
• Lemon Lolly Cardstock, 5″x 3-3/4″
• Lemon Lolly polka dot DSP from the Subtles Collection, 4-3/4″x 3-1/2″
• Basic White Cardstock circle cropped with Stylish Shapes Die, 3″
• Garden Green and Soft Sea Foam Cardstock punched with the Bough Punch, 2-1/2″x 1-1/2″ each
• Basic White Cardstock, 3″x 2-1/2″ for “friend” stamp and die by Altenew, and 2-1/2″x 1/4″ for sentiment strip stamped with Altenew Super Script ~ both stamped with Garden Green ink
• 1/4″ White Crinkle Seam Binding Ribbon (retired)
• Iridescent Pearl Basic Jewels

Details:

I ink-blended the 3″ die cut circle with Lemon Lolly and Soft Sea Foam inks and my Blending Brushes.

Although the “friend” sentiment looks black in the photo, it is really Garden Green! The circle is adhered to the card with Dimensionals and the ribbon with a Glue Dot.

 

OK, I have to do it… Who can name that tune ~ “She wore an……”? (hint: you may have to have been born in the ’50’s to remember the song!!!)
