Pine Tree Silhouette

So, OK, maybe one more Christmas card…  I know I said on Wednesday that I was finished with Christmas cards, but then I saw this Festive Friday challenge, and my resolve went out the window! Here is a Pine Tree Silhouette. I’m very glad I decided to make one more… !

Here is the Festive Friday Challenge. We were to pick 3 of the following elements. I picked evergreen trees, stars, and peace on earth.

It’s Subtle!

You might have to look closely to see the “peace” but it’s there! After ink blending the circle for the sky, I used Versamark Ink to repeatedly stamp “Peace” all over the inked circle. Then I used Clear Emboss Powder and heat set it to give it a subtle shine. Squint! Do you see it?

I thought the subtlety felt peaceful 🙂

Next the trees

My inked panel is glued to a 5-1/2″x 4-1/4″ panel of Night of Navy that has been embossed with the Tasteful Textile Embossing Folder. Then that was mounted on a Navy card base. I glued two Navy evergreens cropped with Pine Woods Dies in the lower left. The smaller tree is adhered with Black Mini Dimensionals, cut to fit.

And the inside

This sentiment seemed perfect. It is from the Beautiful Boughs stamp set. A few more silver glimmer stars finish it off.
