I thought I’d try to design a photo card…and I think it turned out pretty well! This is a portrait of my daughter (who is now 30 years old!). She looks so sweet surrounded by these DSP prints in Timeless Elegance. The little flowers are Blushing Bride and Very Vanilla with a tiny black rhinestone in the center.
Here’s another of my son (who is now 35!) using retired Halloween DSP:
The frames are made with nesting framelits. I followed the technique that I found on Splitcoast Stampers. See the tutorial HERE. Instead of stamping an image on the inside cardstock, I left the top open like a pocket in order to slide a photo down into it. It is an A-2 card and opens up like a regular card to stamp or write a message on the inside.
Won’t this be great for Christmas? I’m excited to try it with our new holiday papers and embellishments. They will be available to order on September 1st.
If you would like to see more instructions and photos showing how I made these cards, sign up for my free newsletter. I publish and email it out on Tuesday or Wednesday of each week. I will be going into further directions on these cards next week. Click on Contact Me at the top of this post and fill out the short form, specifying Newsletter, and I will put you on my list! I hope to hear from you.
Enjoy your day! Until next time ~
