Petals & Paisleys Thank You

Here is a very simple layout for you today, one that you can easily do with any paper you choose.  I decided to use this Petals & Paisleys Specialty Designer Series Paper, because I just (finally) bought it and I am in love with the colors and prints!
The picture does not do it justice ~ you really have to see it up close and personal!  It is specialty paper because it has two sheets with copper embossing on them.  Absolutely gorgeous!  I will add a picture of another card that I made with the navy/copper piece at the end of this post.
I cut the base of Delightful Dijon cardstock to make a regular 5 1/2″ x 4 1/4″ side opening card.  I cut the print at 4 7/8″ x 3 5/8″ and glued it to a layer of Cajun Craze that measures 5″ x 3 3/4.”
I wrapped a 4 1/2″ length of Delightful Dijon ribbon around and adhered it to the back.
The sentiment is from Endless Thanks.  I stamped it in Cajun Craze onto a circle of Very Vanilla. The circle and scallop behind it are from the Layering Circles Framelits.  The leaves are from Vintage Leaves, one stamped on Cajun Craze, the other onto Very Vanilla, and cropped using Leaflets Framelits.
I attached a few loops of Copper Thread to the back of the circles using Dimensionals and used those to adhere the circles to the card.
On the inside, I took a 1/2″ strip of Cajun Craze and glued a 3/8″ strip of the matching DSP over it, cut to fit the width of the card insert.
Here is the Navy and Copper card that I made using the Specialty DSP.  I CASEd it from Mary Brown ~ such a pretty design.
The navy and copper really compliment each other!
Today is October 31st, which means it is the last day to get in on the “Buy 3 Get 1 Free” Special. Here is the banner one last time.  Click on it to jump over to my online store and pick out three of your favorite designer papers and get one pack free!  The special does not include the Petals & Paisleys Specialty Paper, I’m sorry to say, but there are a number of beautiful papers to choose from.
Happy Stamping!
Have a fun and safe Halloween!
