Petal Passion Get Well Card

I cannot let go of the black and olive combination that came out in the Holiday Catalog. I love this combination! And why let go? We have some beautiful new black and white Designer Series Paper in the 2018 Occasions Catalog, called Petal Passion. It pairs nicely with the Old Olive paper from Color Theory.
The Petal Palette stamp set has a leafy branch that nearly matches the DSP. I stamped it in Old Olive on Whisper White cardstock AFTER stamping the bird in black. To prevent the green leaves from stamping over the bird’s wing, I masked the bird with a piece of sticky-backed paper. I stamped the bird on a Post-it Note, cut it out and stuck it over the stamped bird. Then I stamped the branch over the top, peeled off the mask, and was left with a perfectly stamped image.
I used Thought & Prayers for my sentiment outside….and in ~
To decorate the envelope, I used another matching piece of Color Theory on the flap. For embellishments, I added three Olive Glitter Enamel Dots. The bird’s eye has a tiny Glitter & Clear Epoxy Shape.
I made a second card that is pretty much the same, except I used some leftover Merry Little Christmas DSP for that matching Olive branch. The base is Old Olive and the sentiment is from the retired Wetlands.
The inside sentiment is also from Thoughts & Prayers.
This Petal Passion Suite has many gorgeous elements and I’m looking forward to showing you more!
