Peaceful Wreath, “Take Two”

Yesterday I showed you this stamp set, Peaceful Wreath, in embossed gold.  As simple and elegant that one was, this time I’ve given you a much more casual, and yes, busy! use of the same set.  I have several new products from the upcoming Holiday Catalog to talk about here, mixed in with some of the older products.
Let’s start with the background paper.  This red and green plaid comes from a new DSP Stack called Merry Moments.  You get 48 double-sided sheets in this 6″ x 6″ stack, available to order on Sept. 1st.
I created a window using Real Red cardstock and the 1″ square punch, and glued it to a slightly larger piece of Whisper White.
The wreath:  Stamped in Mossy Meadow, colored in with Old Olive and Real Red Stampin’ Write Markers.  Cut out with the matching framelits, Wonderful Wreath Framelits Dies, from the Annual Catalog.
The bow:  Stamped with Cherry Cobbler onto Cherry Cobbler cardstock and cut out with matching framelit.
“Joy” is part of the same framelits.  If you don’t already know this trick, use waxed paper between the die and the cardstock.  It will slip right off and all the little pieces just fall right out!  I used a new glue called Fine-tip Glue Pen.  It is part of the Holiday Catalog, but is sure to be very popular and hopefully carried over to the next Annual Catalog.  Be sure to order this on Sept. 1 – it’s really great for those tiny pieces and places.

After cutting the DSP for the front, I was left with this small strip that fit perfectly along the bottom of the inside.

My greeting came from an older set called Joyful Christmas.  It has retired, but is one of those “keepers” that I can’t let go of.  It goes nicely with the front of this card!

And there you have my “Take Two” of the new Peaceful Wreath stamp set!  I’m not done with it yet…watch for “Take Three” coming up soon.  I’m having fun!  Are you?
I would love to hear from you!  Comments and questions are always welcome.  If you choose to order from me, I will send you a free Holiday Catalog with your order. FREE  If your order is $75.00 or more, I will send you an embellishment from the Holiday Catalog as a thank you for your order!  You will need to email your mailing address to me so I can get it out to you a.s.a.p.  This offer will be available September 1st and applies to online orders only.
Thanks for stopping by!  See you next time ~
Karen
