Peaceful Garden is not just for Christmas! It’s for anyone who loves blue for any occasion! Here I have made a “Sending Love” card. Could be for a birthday, an anniversary, I miss you, I love you ~ you get the idea!

My Recipe:
  • Secret Sea Cardstock, 8-1/2″x 5-1/2″, folded at 4-1/4″
  • Secret Sea layer, 5-1/2″x 4-1/4″, textured with Exposed Brick 3D Embossing Folder
  • Peaceful Garden DSP, three patterns with three different Party Banners Dies, 1-1/4″x 1-3/4″, 3-1/8″x 4-1/8″, and 3-3/4″x 5″
  • Secret Sea Cardstock at the top of the medium banner, 3-1/8″x 1/2″
  • Basic White Cardstock for inside, 5-1/4″x 4″
  • Misty Moonlight & Silver Ribbon, about 5-3/4″
  • White Baker’s Twine
  • One Hues of Blue Flower embellishment
Directions:
  • Emboss the Secret Sea layer with the Exposed Brick Embossing Folder and glue it to the card base.
  • Glue the largest Party Banner to the middle of the embossed front.
  • Glue the 1/2″ strip to the top of the medium banner. With the dies, crop two holes on each end, about 1/4″ from each end.
  • Thread the ribbon through each hole, letting the ends hang loose. Tie the Baker’s Twine in the middle of the ribbon and tie a bow. Trim ends as desired. Adhere this piece to the middle of the first banner using a bit of Foam Adhesive Sheet.
  • Stamp the sentiment on the smallest banner with Versamark Ink. Sprinkle with white embossing powder and set with a Heat Tool.
    • If you are new to heat embossing, here are a few tips: Cover the area you will be stamping with anti-static powder, like our Stampin’ Up! Embossing Buddy. This sentiment is actually two stamps, so stamp them one at a time to get the best placement. I recommend stamping on top of a foam mat (i.e. Piercing Mat) to get a good, even coverage of ink. Tap off all the excess powder before you heat it up. A small paintbrush works well to get the un-wanted bits of sticky powder. This is especially important when you are putting white onto a dark surface such as this Secret Sea.
  • Glue this smallest banner to the right edge, just hanging off the medium banner slightly. Add a Hues of Blue Flower embellishment to the small Secret Sea banner.

  1. I love this design using the various sizes of the banner dies. This is a perfect template for my middle school Girl Scouts to make Veteran’s Day cards for our local Vets Home. There are about 250 between residents and staff, so we need to do mass production tecniques to get them finished by early November. Thanks for the inspiration!!
