Peace, Warmth, and Cheer This Christmas

Christmas cards are popping up all over the internet.  With the new 2016 Holiday Catalog in the hands of Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators everywhere, there are many wonderful projects being shared daily.  Just a few more days and you will be able to order from this catalog too!  How exciting!!
I was inspired by Linda Heller in Stamping School to put this Christmas card together.  It went together easily, which is a wonderful thing when you are making multiples of one card.  Even so, there are several elements to it, so let me walk you through it…
I started with a Basic Black base, 4 1/4″ x 11″, scored at 5 1/2″ for a top fold card.
Next I embossed a 5 1/4″ x 4″ piece of Garden Green with the Lucky Stars Embossing Folder.
I glued a 2″ x 4″ piece of DSP (from the new Warmth & Cheer DSP Stack, page 13 in the Holiday Catalog) to the bottom of the green.
I added a 1/4″ x 4″ strip of Gold Glimmer Paper and wrapped a length of Gold Cord Trim around it. (In case you are wondering, the Gold Cord was in last year’s catalog.  There is a new gold Baker’s Twine coming out in the Holiday Catalog that looks awesome and much easier to handle!)
With Layering Circles Framelits I cut a Basic Black scalloped piece and a Whisper White circle.  I stamped the sentiment from Peace This Christmas (Annual Catalog) in Garden Green and added a little gold star from the Metallic Enamel Shapes.  This was secured to the card with Dimensionals.
I tied a bow with another length of cord and glued the finished front to the base card.
On the inside I stamped the other sentiment from Peace This Christmas and added a green pine bough with three gold Glimmer Paper dots.
Peace This Christmas comes in Wood or Clear Mount stamps.  It coordinates perfectly with our This Christmas Specialty Designer Series Paper.  But I love that the stamps that can be used with so many different Christmas products.
You can get this stamp set now of course, but you will be able to order from the Holiday Catalog beginning Sept. 1st.  If you place an order with me and let me know that you would like a Holiday Catalog, I will send you one free of charge.
Have fun stamping!
