Hi! I’m back for another Merry Monday and I’m using So Very Merry once again. This time it’s with the angel and the beautiful sentiment, Peace and Joy. May I just say right up front that this photo does not do this card justice! In real life, it is sparkly and shiny way beyond what the camera can capture.
I am still using retired DSP from my stash collection, and today it’s from the Cabin Suite (I’ve forgotten the exact name) with sparkly silver stars in the night sky. The angel is looking up, offering peace and joy, which I stamped in Basic Gray and heat embossed with Clear Embossing Powder.
Details:
- Fresh Freesia Cardstock base, 8-1/2″x 5-1/2″, folded at 4-1/4″
- Silver Foil Specialty Pack (purple textured sheet), 5-1/4″x 4″, strip 4″x 3/4″, and tiny stars
- DSP 5″x 3-3/4″
- Basic White Cardstock 2-3/8″ circle for stamping
- Blends Markers: Misty Moonlight, Boho Blue, Balmy Blue, Night of Navy, Fresh Freesia, Blackberry Bliss, Smoky Slate
- Sentiment stamped with Basic Gray and heat embossed with Clear Embossing Powder
On the inside, my sentiment is stamped in Highland Heather and can be found in Brightest Glow Stamp Set. Three more tiny stars out of the Silver Foil Specialty Paper flank the sentiment.
I used Wink of Stella on all the Smoky Slate parts of the angel and it’s so pretty! Again, the camera does not pick it up, but yeah, sparkly goodness!
My pre-order should be arriving any day now! Meanwhile, I’m having fun looking through old papers and matching them up with new stamps. Don’t you think this starlit paper is perfect for this celestial being?
Have a peaceful week everyone! I hope you’re enjoying the last bit of summer!

Little silver stars yet available?
Hi Mrs. Wickkand, I cut those little stars out of silver foil paper and tiny star die cuts from an old Christmas set. I have noticed small star dies in a few of our current sets since then however. Thanks for asking!
Your card is so pretty. So glad you used retired dsp, and why not! We bought it, we should use it. The paper is called Peaceful Place. I still had some. Thank you for sharing with everyone!
Oh, yes! Thank you, Lynn! I couldn’t pull the name out of my memory! I appreciate it!
How fun, gotta remember I have a big collection of papers and not just a “stash” of stuff. I like this card a lot and I am sure it shows up better in person. I think I remember something like this and wasn’t sure what to do with it. The angel shows the show. Looking forward to using this set when it comes. Fresh fresia to the rescue!
Thanks, Chris! It’s a fun set – you’ll enjoy it.
Love the card! I’m sure it sparkles in real life!
Thank you, Rachel!
