Welcome to the Pals Blog Hop for September 2016. We are thankful you stopped by to take a look at our new 2016 Blog Hop monthly themes. This month our projects represent our favorite year end Season. It may be Autumn, Winter, Halloween, Thanksgiving or Christmas (and maybe even a combination!) We hope to provide you with lots of ideas and that you enjoy our creations.
You may just be starting the Blog Hop or may have come from the previous link from the Line-up on the Pals Blog Hop listing shown below. The full lineup will help you move along from blog to blog so you may see all the projects.
Choosing just one of my favorite seasonal cards was hard for me! I love all the Fall holidays and there are so many wonderful Stampin’ Up! products from which to make the most amazing cards and projects.
I have made this card to be a generic autumn card. The pumpkins could definitely be Halloween or Thanksgiving, but the sentiment from Basket of Wishes fits all kinds of occasions.
The layout for my card came from a GDP Challenge, Case the Designer Teneale Williams. What a fun layout to use with many different papers and focal objects!
I chose Basic Gray for my card base. The DSP is from Halloween Night Specialty Designer Series Paper, and I layered it on Basic Black. The center panel is Pumpkin Pie and the little strips of sparkle are Pumpkin Pie Glimmer Paper.
The leaves are Pear Pizzazz cardstock and a Dijon print from Moroccan DSP. I crumpled the two papers into a tight wad for texture, then opened them up and cropped them out using the Leaflets Framelits. I mounted them onto matching Basic Black leaves to create a shadow effect and popped them up with Stampin’ Dimensionals. The little black twig is from Flourish Thinlits. The ribbon is Peekaboo Peach 3/8″ Ruched Ribbon.
Inside, I glued two strip of the same DSP along the sides, then used a Basic Black Marker to define the inside edge. At This Time of Year and the little leaf/acorn stamp are from the Host Set called Time of Year.
The list of products I used will be at the end of this post. Each picture is linked to my online store for quick and easy purchasing opportunities! Have fun hopping through the line-up and see many different Autumn-themed cards and projects. I will be posting more seasonal cards in the next few days, so stop by my blog again and see what else I have to share with you!
Thanks for visiting. To continue with the hop, please refer to the Blog Hop Line-up below. We hope to see you on next month’s Pals Blog Hop!
