This week at Create With Connie & Mary we have a sketch challenge. I’ve decided to keep it clean & simple with One Horse Open Sleigh DSP as the focal point. Here is the sketch:
And here is my card:
Layer by Layer Details:
- Garden Green Cardstock base, 8-1/2″x 5-1/2″, scored and folded at 4-1/4″
- Early Espresso Cardstock, 1/2″x 5-1/2″
- One Horse Open Sleigh DSP, red side, 3-1/2″x 3″
- One Horse Open Sleigh DSP, cabin scene side, 3-1/2″x 3″
- Sentiment Strip, Basic White, 3″x 1/2″, ends angled
Finishing Details:
- Stamp “Happy Holidays” from Brightest Glow in Early Expresso
- Three red Festive Pearls
The great part about this DSP is that both of these patterns are back to back on the same sheet. The red dotted print, the cabin door, and the red pearls create a color triangle that pleases the eye. This DSP has unique prints that will be fun to work with for the next few months!
Now click HERE to go to Create With Connie & Mary and see what the rest of the Team’s cards look like. I’m sure you’ll find some inspiration!

Another great winter card. I love this card with the pop of red. Brings the little door out. Great sketch too. The three pearls are the perfect touch. Makes a great masculine winter birthday card!
Thanks, Chris! Yes, it would!
