Notes & Totes Warm Wishes

Here we are, in the middle of Winter, and we are given a color challenge that reminds me of the beach! So for Create with Stamping Friends this week, I’ve used Notes & Totes Warm Wishes!

Here’s the color challenge:

And here’s my warm, beachy card:

Notes & Totes Bundle, CSF904 Color Challenge, beach-y card idea, Stampin' Up!, Karen Hallam

Can you feel the sunshine on the warm sand? Mmmm…Hawaii perhaps? I feel warmer just looking at it! 😎

Materials, Measurements, & Techniques:
  • Thick Basic White Cardstock for the base, 11″x 4-1/4″, folded at 5-1/2″
  • Balmy Blue Cardstock layer, 5-1/4″x 4″
  • Basic White layer, 4″ long x 3-7/8″ wide
    • With a Blending Brush, I brushed Peach Pie ink on the lower half and Balmy Blue on the top half.
    • Next I stamped the greeting from Notes & Totes in Secret Sea ink.
    • I cut a Peach Pie sun into a 2-2/3″ circle and glued it to the lower right side.
    • I then glued the panel to the Balmy Blue layer, centering it on the two sides and the top.
  • Crumb Cake Cardstock for “sand”, three 1-3/4″x 3-7/8″ strips.
    • I tore the tops off the three strips to look like sandy mounds and glued them to the card front as shown.
  • Peach Pie Cardstock scraps for sea creatures from Notes & Totes Dies, 3 starfish and 1 conch shell
    • To two of the starfish, I brushed a bit of Poppy Parade ink. To the conch shell I brushed a bit of Poppy Parade and a bit of Balmy Blue. I left the third starfish plain Peach Pie Cardstock.
  • Three Pearlized Faceted Circles for sparkle

  1. WOW! What a fabulous color challenge card! You know how I love anything beachy! Wish I was enjoying the sand instead of ice! Brrr…it’s cold on the shore this week!!!

  2. This is just so warm and toasty, just what I need as we are heading into a deep freeze in weather. -25 degrees windchill with actual temps below zero. The little faceted embelishments just make this sparkle just like the sea glass or little bits that sparkle in the sun. Perfect beach colors.
