New Baby Gift Card Holder

I just received this stamp set called Made With Love as an incentive gift from Stampin’ Up! so I had to give it a “test drive!”  It is the most adorable collection of images for babies that I’ve seen.

I am also on a mission to use up as much of my retiring DSP as I can, so I pulled out what I had left of Sweet Li’l Things and found this sweet cloud image to use on my card.

This is a gift card holder.  On the front I layered the DSP over Night of Navy.  The base is Pool Party.  And I colored in some of the onesie with markers in Pool Party and Rose Red.  I cut the onesie using Baby’s First Framelit Dies.  Very Vanilla Thick Baker’s Twine and a retired button from my stash (dare I admit?) cover up an ink smudge on the card!!! 🙂

The sentiments on the inside come from B.Y.O.P., stamped in Navy.  I thought the right side needed a little texture or something.  I tried tiny stamps (garbage), a more bold embossing folder (garbage), and finally settled on my retired tiny dot embossing folder.  They need to bring this one back, in my opinion!  The left side is a pocket for a gift card, adhered with Tear & Tape along the top and bottom.

Last, I lined the envelope with the Pool Party version of the little cloud print.  It ties it together without being exactly matchy-matchy.

This is a fun, easy layout.  Let me know if you have any questions by leaving me a comment below.  If you don’t see a comment section, you must first click on the title of this post, then it will take you to where you will see a comment section.  I would love to hear from you!
