Nests of Winter Birthday

so sincere, nests of winter dsp, memorable blooms dies, birthday card idea, stampin up, karen hallam

This cute little chickadee is almost camouflaged in her little branch ~ if it wasn’t for her green leaves and red berries! I need a birthday card for a friend who has a Dec. 20 birthday. Do I make it Christmasy? Do I make something completely different? OK, compromise. There is just enough touch of festive in here to acknowledge the time of year without compromising the whole birthday thing. It’s a Nests of Winter Birthday!

This DSP has been one of my favorites since it came out. And now it’s unavailable until Dec. 23. If you love it, you know what to do! It’s liable to sell out fast when it does reappear. If you already have it, you may want to try this card.

Here’s the Recipe:
  • Pebbled Path Cardstock base, 8-1/2″x 5-1/2″, folded at 4-1/4″
  • Basic White layer, 5″x 3-3/4″
  • Nests of Winter DSP, 4-7/8″x 3-5/8″
  • Label ~ Basic White cropped with Memorable Blooms Dies (available January 7)
  • “Happy Birthday” from So Sincere, stamped with Moody Mauve ink
  • Branch from Textured Floral Dies, Pebbled Path Cardstock
  • Bird fussy cut from Nexts of Winter DSP
  • Pearl Berries from Cherry Cobbler & Pearl Adhesive-Backed Berries

Heads-Up:

So Sincere Cling Stamp Set is on the “Low Inventory” list, so if you don’t already have it, get it now. I use this set so often, I really don’t know what I’d do without it!

  1. Bingo, I need 4 birthday cards for the next two weeks. I think I might have to try this. I wasn’t sure what to do with this sheet of paper. Problem solved. I usually do snowflakes for these birthdays so this will be something a bit different. I love the little chickadee. Happy holidays!
