Sometimes you just need a note, and here’s a simple one that you can easily make several of to have on hand. I used Natural Botanicals Stamp Set for the focal piece, on top of Mixed Media Floral DSP. I colored the Cone Flower to match the paper and I think it is super cute!
Materials & Measurements:
- Basic White Note cards & Envelopes, 5″x 7″, folded at 3-1/2″
- Basic Black Cardstock mat, 4-3/4″x 3-1/4″
- Mixed Media Floral DSP, 4-5/8″x 3-1/8″
- Oval shaped die cut (I used our old Stitched Shapes Dies, but if you don’t have that, there are a few newer oval dies, i.e. Framed Scenes Dies, More Messages Dies, or Unbounded Love Dies), 3-1/4″x 2-1/4″
- Natural Botanicals Stamp Set
- Memento Tuxedo Black ink
- Blends ~ Daffodil Delight, Calypso Coral, and Old Olive
- Greetings For All Mix & Match Ephemera Pack
- Baker’s Twine in Black
- Neutral Matte Dots
Natural Botanicals originally came out as a Sale-a-Bration set, but is now a carry over into the Annual Catalog. It’s kind of a sleeper set, I think, because I haven’t noticed it being used much at all. But there are some great botanical images in it with the option of using the back sides of the stamps to fill in color.
Here’s a look at the set:
Coloring this image with Blends was so easy! And I love how it mimics the paper.
The Greetings For All Ephemera Pack has been so great to use. I need to warn you that it is now on Low Inventory. Grab a pack now if you don’t have it. You will love how easy it is to punch out a sentiment, either on black or white, and pop it on your card.
The last little detail is the envelope. I covered the flap with a coordinating piece, 2″x 5-1/4″, from Mixed Media Floral DSP. My customers have said that the sneak peek on the envelope flap is a favorite feature because it gives them a little taste of what’s inside!
I hope you like this quick & easy note card idea! The products I used are linked below for easy shopping.
Have a great weekend!
