My Swap Card for OnStage 2017

I just returned from Salt Lake City, Utah, where the 2017 Stampin’ Up! OnStage Event was held. We had so much fun! One of the things we did was share swap cards among our Pals Group. I made 25 to give away and came back with 25 other cards made by fellow demonstrators. This was my card ~
I made it into a “Flap Card,” which honestly I didn’t know had a name until this morning! I cut the white cardstock at a slightly smaller size and glued it to a 5-1/2″ x 4-1/4″ piece of Basic Black cardstock.
Before I glued it, there was a bit of work to do… I started with a 5-1/4″ x 7″ piece of Whisper White cardstock and folded it at 4″. The top of the card is 1″ shorter on the side than the bottom section. I ran that top section through the Big Shot with the Winter Wonder Textured Impressions Embossing Folder to create this big snowflake impression. Then I glued a 1″ strip of Year of Cheer Specialty DSP to the far right side of the inside, and added a strip of gold Washi Tape from Year of Cheer along the seam.
The coffee cup is also a gold and white print from Year of Cheer DSP and I cut the lid in Basic Black and the splash guard in Gold Foil. For these I used the Coffee Cups Framelits. The sentiments are from Merry Cafe.
Merry Cafe Photopolymer Stamp Set #144965
Coffee Cups Framelits #143745
You can see the debossed impression of the giant snowflake when you open the card, which I think is pretty cool. The inside sentiment is also from Merry Cafe and I stamped these sentiments with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.
For the cup “sleeve” I cut the piece out with the framelit that also embosses it, giving it the corrugated look and then I stamped the two sentiment stamps over the cut piece. Typically I would stamp first and cut second, but this framelit is a solid piece and placement would be tricky! To finish it off, I added a gold Metallic Enamel Dot.
I hope the swappers like my card! I love all of the cards I received in return and I’ll post them here in the next few days so you can see them too.
Here is the crazy fun group I had the pleasure of spending my weekend with ~
Someone got cute and put dog ears and noses over the photo, since we are the Top Dogs under Susan Itell.  Left to right: Ramsey Alexander, me, Susan Itell, Jill Killeen, Deb Echelmeyer, and Mary Anne Schnettgoecke. Julie Wagner hung out with us too but wasn’t present when we took the picture. But we got her once we were inside the conference room ~
We each won a new stamp set in what they call “Prize Patrol” and it’s really cute! But sorry, you can’t see it yet!!! Soon! I promise!
Have a great week! I’m going to be coming down from my convention high!! Until next time ~
