Mosaic Mood

I’m in a Mosaic Mood this Monday morning!

I’m working my way through the various Designer Series Papers that are new this year from Stampin’ Up! I showed you Dinoroar on Friday (see it here), Magnolia Lane last Monday (see it here), and See A Silhouette the week before (see it here). Today I want to show off Mosaic Mood Specialty DSP. It is a “specialty paper” because it is thicker than the normal DSP and it has shiny accents which are simply stunning! Here is a picture of the whole set:

This picture does not do it justice. The colors you see in my card are much more true than in this catalog picture. When you see this paper in person, it knocks your socks off! Yes, it is that pretty!

To build the card, I started with a base of Soft Suede. Then to the top of the front I glued a 2-1/2″ x 5-1/4″ piece of Very Vanilla. Before gluing, I embossed along the top with a die from Stitched Nested Dies to give it a little bit more interest. Next I glued a 1-7/8″ x 5-1/4″ strip of Mosaic Mood along the bottom.

That mosaic hummingbird is on one of the sheets of DSP and is very easy to cut out by hand. Afterward I popped him up tall with double-stacked Dimensionals so he could easily reach the flower (made with Magnolia Memory Dies.)

This angle shows you a bit more of the shine on the Mosaic Mood DSP.

And the full card again, one more time.

I’d love to hear what you think! Does it strike you as much as it does me? If you would like to buy a pack to see for yourself, you can get it by clicking HERE. It’s $14.50 for 12 sheets, 2 of each double-sided design. The shiny bits are only on one side of each sheet, with the back sides being your normal DSP prints.

I’d love to have you shop with me. And I will send you a small gift of appreciation when you do! Thank you!
