More Coffee, Please!

My daughter happens to love coffee as much as I do…well, possibly even more than I do! She is off studying to be a Physical Therapist and I have a feeling she drinks a lot of coffee to stay sharp for her challenging classes!  I am going to surprise her with a coffee gift card.
A shout out to B.J. Peters, who reminded me of this easy gift card holder on her blog. The basic card can be decorated and embellished as much as you like. But the “bones” of the card are really quite simple.
Take a 3-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ piece of cardstock, score it at 2″ and 6″. Fold and burnish. Cut a piece of DSP to 3-1/4″ x 2-1/4″ and adhere to the bottom section. Nip a little finger pull at the top with a circle punch. Cut another piece of DSP to 3-1/4″ x 1-3/4″ and adhere to the top section.
Put 2 pieces of Tear & Tape along the inside sides of the bottom section and fold it up to create the pocket.
Cut a belly band at 1″ x 8-1/2″, wrap it around the closed card vertically and glue the ends together in the front using Tear & Tape or Fast Fuse.
Decorate as desired!
I used VersaMark and Copper Embossing Powder to stamp the top of the cup and the little “Hi.”
I stayed very neutral with Early Espresso, Crumb Cake, and Whisper White.
The wonderful stamps and framelits did all the work for me!
It isn’t in the photo, but I tucked a little note into the pocket behind the coffee card to let her know how much I miss her and wish her well.
It makes a great gift! Who doesn’t enjoy getting coffee shop gift cards – even non-coffee drinkers love them for all the other goodies they sell in coffee shops these days. Thanks for stopping by my blog today!  Have a wonderful day ~ and remember, coffee helps!!!
