Mini Catalog goes LIVE! and what did I do….?

OK, you may think I’m a bit crazy. A bit daffy. A bit nuts-o! Today the new Mini Catalog goes live and I am super excited about it. But what did I do? I made a card with products from the Annual Catalog. Specifically, Bird Ballad. Yes, a bit unusual when I could be showing off some new products. Hmmm…

Here are my thoughts. EVERYONE is going to show you new products today. And all I’ve purchased so far is the Peaceful Poppies suite – which I LOVE – but I’ve already shown it twice. And it will be interesting to see how many poppies adorn the internet today.

I wanted to make a birthday card. And I wanted to use the Bird Ballad DSP. So there you have it! I love this set as well and it will still be around for at least 5 more months.

Here is my card:

I just love these birds! Put this paper on my all-time favorite list. The floral background, the bird itself, and the blue flower are all cut from the Bird Ballad DSP. The branch is from Seasonal Layers and the circles are from Layering Circles Dies.

I took the sentiments, inside and out, from Varied Vases, and cropped the outside one with Stitched Rectangle Dies.

I also cut the flower spray on the inside from the DSP. I’m not big on fussy cutting, but all of this took me no time at all. Such a pretty birthday card!

But I want you to know that… the Mini Catalog goes live today! You can view it here if you don’t have the physical catalog yet. And the Sale-A-Bration brochure can be viewed here.  If you don’t have the catalogs yet, but would like to place an order through me (click here), I would be happy to send you both catalogs right away.

…and Next Week…

Thanks for stopping by! I’ll be back with new products next week, I promise! Oh, and the Pals Blog Hop is on Wednesday. That’s where you get to “hop” from blog to blog and view the Pals’ take on the monthly theme – this time it will be Sale-A-Bration! That will be fun to see some new ideas and creations with the free items you can earn with purchases. Be sure to check in with me on Wednesday for the Hop!

Have a wonderful weekend!  Bye for now,

  1. The coloring on your bird is fabulous!

  2. I love that you are featuring a set and supplies from the AC. We can get so caught up in all the new stuff that we forget about the treasures we already have! As a bird lover, this is one of my favorite sets too.

  3. Barbara (Barb)Comfort

Thank you for posting a cheerful card. I also like this set . Enjoy your cards.

  4. Chris from Pella

Love this card! I want to CASE this. I already have some of the flowers fussy cut as well as the birds. I enjoy the bright poppies and the new catalog but we are anticipating some rain turning to snow so I am thinking more of spring than the summery bright colors in the new mini catalog. So this card really sings to me.
