I made this card a few weeks ago and didn’t share it on my blog because I thought the Dry Brushed Metallic Paper that I used had retired. Then earlier today, I was looking at the Online Exclusives for something else, and what do you think I found?! You can still buy this gorgeous paper in the Online Exclusives!! Yay! So here is my card with the Merriest Dry Brushed Metallic Tree ~
Just like any shiny paper, it is so much more stunning in person. The camera and lights never do it justice. But I am so happy with the color combination and the holiday shine that the beautiful foiling gives this Christmas card.
All the Details:
- Pretty Peacock Cardstock base, 4-1/4″x 11″, folded at 5-1/2″
- Pretty Peacock layer, cropped with the largest Scalloped Contours Dies
- Merriest Trees Dies
- Tree base from Cork Paper (retired)
- Tree from Dry Brushed Metallic Paper
- Garland from Rose Gold Foil, backed with Adhesive Sheet
- Star from Rose Gold Foil
- The tree and the scalloped layer are both attached with Dimensionals.
Inside Scoop:
- Stamp the greeting from Merriest Trees in Pretty Peacock.
- Stamp 1/2 the tree trunk with Pecan Pie.
- Add a Rose Gold Foil star using a Glue Dot to the top of the “tree.”
One of the things I like best about this card is that it will go through the mail with one regular stamp – no bulk or bumps to require extra postage. The other thing I love is the non-traditional color. A blue spruce? Maybe!

Here’s the List. Merriest Trees Stamp Set and Merriest Trees Dies are going to carry over to the next catalog, for which I’m very excited. But they won’t be sold as a bundle. Oh so bright and pretty. Loving the cork paper for the trunk. I simply love it!
