Good Morning, Magnolia Lane Suite!

The beauty of the Good Morning Magnolia stamps hits you the minute you put it to paper. The images are very realistic. I couldn’t wait to stamp and color this large image, but I’ve seen cards made with it left uncolored that are very striking as well.

I began with a Crumb Cake card base, then ran a 4′ x 4-1/2″ piece of Crumb Cake card stock through the Big Shot with the Pinewood Planks Embossing Folder. To that I cropped the bottom edge with one of the dies from Magnolia Memory Dies, which left a pretty curved edge. Here’s a photo of the Good Morning Magnolia Bundle, which includes the stamp set and dies for a 10% discount.

The Petal Pink striped paper that I used on the bottom is one of the papers in the Magnolia Lane Designer Series Paper pack.

To color the magnolia, I used my Stampin’ Blends: Mossy Meadow on the leaves, and Petal Pink on the petals. To the stem I added Soft Suede and a tiny bit of Daffodil Delight to the flower center.

A little trick I did to add dimension to my card was to stamp the image twice, then cut the center part of the flower out and adhere it over the full image. This next picture shows you a side view of the stacked flowers.

I stamped the sentiment with Early Espresso and cropped it out with a Stitched Nested Die, another one of my favorite things in this new catalog. See another card where I “nested” two of these dies by clicking here.

The Inside Should Be Beautiful Too!

I stamped, colored, and cropped out the magnolia bud from the stamp set and glued it to the inside corner. Do you love it?
