I was intrigued by this week’s TGIF Challenge, “Mad For Plaid.” Stesha Bloodhart from Stampin’ Hoot! is challenging us to make a card using plaid. Here is the challenge banner.
I made my plaid using the background stamp, Buffalo Check, with Flirty Flamingo ink. To make it more “plaid” than “check”, I drew vertical and horizontal lines with my Cherry Cobbler Stampin’ Blend marker.
Once I got the background stamped and mounted onto a piece of Cherry Cobbler cardstock, I had to decide what to do with it. Hearts won out! It is February, after all!
My hearts are compliments of the Stitched Be Mine Dies, part of the Meant To Be Bundle. I mounted them over a 1-1/2″ strip of Basic White that I texturized with the Subtle 3D Embossing Folder.
My Heart Belongs To You seemed an appropriate sentiment. It’s from My Favorite Things. I heat embossed it with Versamark and black embossing powder.
My inside hearts and sentiment are from Meant To Be, stamped again in Cherry Cobbler and Flirty Flamingo. The silver foil hearts were some that fell out of the front piece.
