Lovely Lily Pad for #tgifc250

When I saw the color palette for the TGIF Challenge this week, I immediately thought of Lovely Lily Pad and Lily Impressions DSP.  Here is my card ~

Smoky Slate became my base color. The Pool Party and Melon Mambo are in the DSP with several dark colors. I layered it with a slightly larger piece of Whisper White. I actually love these bright bold colors! They just need a bit of neutral to tone them down. So I cut another piece of Whisper White with a Stitched Rectangle Die. Then I added my sentiment and stamped elements on it.

Lily Impressions DSP, Lovely Lily Pad stamp set, and Lily Pad Dies are all free items in the Sale-A-Bration Brochure. The sentiment I chose is also a free SAB item, from the Power of Hope Bundle (stamp set + Stone 3D Embossing Folder).

The focal point

Let’s talk about the water lily! First I stamped the water swoosh in Pool Party, then added ink with a Light Pool Party Blend. The lily pad is Granny Apple Green (ink and cardstock). I stamped the waterlily with Melon Mambo ink onto the Designer Series Paper, then cut it out with a coordinating die. I repeated the stamping and cutting on Whisper White to decide which one I liked better, then I got the wild idea to cut part of the white one out and glue it over the pink one. It’s either interesting or just plain weird! I rather like it 🙂 Lol!

The pink gem stones are some I have from Lucy’s Cards. The color is so close, I had to include them!

Here is another card I previously posted with Lily Pad set of products.
